| Thanks for stopping by to visit my photo site. Photography
has been a passion of mine for many years. For a good part of my life it
seemed I was always too busy to grab a camera and get out and do some
shooting. Now, for the most part, my kids are grown and I have found I have
more free time for myself. I've decided to make a concerted effort to get
out and enjoy a hobby that has brought countless hours of enjoyment in the
past. I started with a 35mm camera. Later on I did a lot of work with 2 1/4
cameras and 4 x 5 view cameras. As much as I liked shooting, I enjoyed
darkroom work even more. I'd spent thousands of hours doing both black and
white, and color processing. When the digital age was coming into its own, I
vowed never to give up my beloved film cameras and darkroom. In the past few
years though, digital imagery had come a long way. So I hopped on the
bandwagon. Bought a decent camera and am still honing my digital editing
skills. To a certain extent, digital photography offers a sense of "instant
gratification", or so a friend told me. At first I resisted that phrase. A
lot of time can be spent editing one image. But then there are times when
only a few parameters need to be changed and in minutes you can have a great
looking image. No matter what, the instant gratification phrase holds true
comparing digital to darkroom. As you look through these images I hope you
find meaning, intrigue, and imagination. This site is in it's infancy and there are only a handful of images. It's my challenge to add more weekly. As time goes by the Gallery Themes will also be expanded, so hopefully you can find something to your liking. Also notice that the images are low resolution so if you have a smaller monitor you won't have to use a scroll bar to view the image in it's entirety. All questions and comments are welcome.
